Ok, that was my next question, do you think it is still a $6K car then? I can't see spending $11K, but with the new hood and some interior work, also depending on how strong the motor is, I could see it as a decent DD for $5K-$6k. Oh, and of course the AC has to work.

FWIW, I left a 300 5.7 looking at my tail lights so it was that quick or he was a really shitty driver.
Also, a Chevy P/U with a built small block 383.

You've referred to it as " an itch you needed to scratch" , to which I fully understand.

What rear was in it ?

Did you ever put it on the track?

So you found the four door and felt you could only keep one, was that after you had them both ?

NO. it's been abused, neglected, and gawd knows what. It's now rusty, too :(.
I have a feeling the hydraulic clutch and hydraulic throw out bearing is a mess now and I'm the only one that can figure it out now.
    It's a....
    Wait for it...
A good 25-hundred car. Add a grand or two if the car really grabs your heart.

The scratch was I WANTED a luxury full sized RWD big V8 4 speed like the old 300. Couldn't afford it so I used what I had. A car that would never be valuable, I loved, so... Why not.
FWIW, I still want to do a Caprice/Crown Vic conversion but that ain't happening.
Rears were the original open 9-1/4 with 3.51 gears from a late model Jeep.
    Never tracked it.
Yes, had both of them. Somewhere there's a pic of the two of them together stacked in one bay, lol. But the search engine here sucks. I'll look again.

You are not the only one who can figure it out. Others could, Ray's team could and others.
I think its still a 5-6000 car for the guy who's gotta have it.

How many owners after you have had the car ( that you can count)?

Did you need a cup holder for your coffee when driving it? .....Just kiddin. I'll bet you did plenty shiftin gears w/a coffee in one hand when your were driving semi's.
What a huge undertaking that had to be. How long did it take to complete once you got started?
Always liked everything about that car after the 4-speed conversion.

what was the expenditure breakdown? Roughly?

since you did most or all of the work hard to imagine that much not counting maintenance items

Besides the first guy you sold it to have you been contacted by any future owners as to its history or to question your sanity?

Funny you should mention that. I was actually looking for the stacked cars after your comment about no room for two. No luck.

A lot of your pics are MIA. It looks like all those you hosted on tinypic are no longer available.
