I have to replace the dash pad..the crack in it makes the rest of the car look bad.....I am NOT looking forward to trying to do this.

I have a replacement pad, its just the fact that everything has to come apart.

I started out replacing the insturment bezel on my 300.... and ended up removing, dissasembling and refinishing the entire dash....... frame and all. I would advise doing it that way, but it's a lot of work.......
It involves removing the entire steering column, the dash harness, (disconnect from the bulkhead connector), and what ever other connectors for heating, vaccuum lines etc.
Get a digital camera and take a lot of pictures before and as you take it apart.
You can then work on a bench.... much easier. and reinstall the dash as an assembled unit.
It's not a job for the faint of heart but very doable..... And you'll forget about all the work everytime you look at that restored dash.
