This was in the early 1990s and I get a call from the Centerline Depot in Detroit. They want some Maserati TC (1989-1991) wheel opening moldings. Now I had bought these maybe a year before. I had 10 of one of the 4 different ones on the car. I said you want them all....yes. So they overnighted a label to me. They paid what I had for them listed for in my website database.



Of course I had to twist this guy's weenie a bit and I said "well you must have really f...ed up when you ran out" Yes we did he said.



They never ran any more of the part...gee I wonder if the tooling had been scrapped? DUH?

Total production 7,300 and it is estimated Chrysler lost 60,000.00 on each one sold!

Cars assembled in Italy using USA built drivetrains (except for the 16 valve versions) then sent back here by boat...a big boat.

Woops: a real nightmare
