Anyone know an easy technique to change the thermostat on a 383 without trying to move the ac compressor assembly. Could there be a specialty Chrysler tool to access the right side bolt. Anyone have a self devised trick.

Open-end wrench for that one bolt, turn about 30 degrees at a time, with the other end of the wrench (and your hand) being between the widest spacing on the 7-blade cooling fan. No need to bother with the a/c compressor at all. Just be careful and not round-off the bolt head! Tap the top of the bolt head, first, for good measure.
