I currently have 225/75/R15s... but I was looking to upsize to 235/75/R15s... good idea or bad? Are they closer to the original size tires that came on the car when new?

Look at the owners manual or research on the internet then convert the number to today's metric number. I suspect the P235/75R15 is the correct size for a radial.

P235/75R-15 will work fine on any Imperial, from the year they went to 15" wheels (1960?) on up to 1975.

Thanks for the help, guys. I looked at the original window sticker and seen it came with 9.15X15 tires. Looking online, the closest equivalent is 235/75/R15.

Running Kumho Optimo H426 235-75R15s on my '66 Imperial. I like the ride quality and utter lack of road noise with them
