I just bought a new lock cylinder for my 1969 Plymouth Fury 3 but I'm not sure how to install it. The car didn't have a lock cylinder when I bought it but I was able to open the trunk with a long flathead, there's a piece of trim across the back that has a circular hole in it for the lock cylinder and behind the trim piece theres a hole in the body thats round but has four keyways cut into it. If I take the trim off I can slide the lock cylinder in but then when I put the trim back on the lock cylinder is an inch or so recessed. There's no way to fit the cylinder through the hole in the piece of trim first either. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing any pieces? The service manual wasn't very much help here.
