Hi. I'm trying to replace a grill mounted turn signal bulb but can't figure out how to remove it. 68Plymouth Fury.

Before I do something stupid I thought I'd ask the group. Does it just pull out from the rear? Doesn't seem to want to come out that way and I don't want to break anything.

Thanks!

same issue

I was going to post on that same issue! I have a 67 fury I'm trying to change it on. I've turned it and pulled it but I still can't remove it. Anyone have a clue? You can see all my wrench marks.

Have you tried taking the lens off and pushing the bulb in and twisting counterclockwise?

That'd be my guess.

I have a bulb out on my 11 RAM & can you believe that you have to remove the grill & then the entire headlight assembly? Who's the genius.......

Don't know but just looking at your pic can you pry it apart when the base connects to the cup i.e. using a flat blade screw driver?

To replace the DRL on a C6 Vette, you have to remove the fender...

No, no, no....

Step1. you post a thread on the Corvette forum.

2. Everyone tells you that you have to go to the dealer.

3. They start recommending dealerships that they go to... usually at least a thousand miles away.

4. You take the Corvette to the local dealership and they charge you $1000.

5. You Zaino your car and post pictures on how shiny it is in the sunlight.

I think with a 68 Fury you have to reach through the grille with a long phillips screwdriver to remove the housing from the grille and then take the lens off. Pull the bulb out from the front. It's been a long time though since I've seen one though, so I may be wrong.

B.J. You just sparked a memory. The socket can't be pulled out.

Here we go:

"The majority of the bulb sockets in taillights, turn signals, and cornering lamp assemblies are permanently stamped or pressed into white metal, potmetal or aluminum housings. "

Thanks for confirming. I got to the same conclusion trying everything I could think of to remove the bulb socket from the housing.

you must remove the parking light from the grille they are held in by a headless bolt with a nut on the backside which you can reach from the backside. then remove the lense to access the bulb
