Was wondering if anyone would know why when I turn my parking lights on... my left turn signals lights up..... and the left turn signal indicater on the dash and on the top of the front fender illuminate. But when I turn my headlights on ....the lights go out. Everything works normal when the headlights are on..... just when just the parkers are on that I get illuminated turn signal on the left side. Never really noticed it before..... was just going over the car tonight getting ready for inspection and found this issue. Not sure if it's a ground problem or what. Got me stumped. Any information on what to look for would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone. The car is a 68 sport fury.

I did change a bulb on the left side the other day...i had a brake light out. Replaced it with a 1157. Should I have used a different bulb bro?
Or should I check the bulb socket for corrosion..etc?

With the park lights selected, the lights in the bumper area should illuminate, but not the fender-mounted turn signal lights. The front lamp harness should be grounded separately from the rear lamp harness. Download a Chrysler factory service manual at www.mymopar.com.

The electrical schematics are very good. Will indicate where each harness grounds, too.

Might need to check ALL of the signal lights for condition of their bulbs and sockets. Be careful of the dried rubber gaskets of the lenses, too!

Enjoy!

Sure sounds like a ground issue to me.

A long wire run from a known good ground to the back of the bulb socket (if possible) or the light housing will tell you. I'd start with whatever was the light that you changed first and then work to the other side and then to the other end. In other words, start at the left rear, go to the right rear next and then to the front, lather, rinse and repeat.

A long wire with alligator clips will help, but even just touching the wire to the light socket will show you the culprit.
