Yes, I was a B-52 crew chief, all my planes were G models, we started changing over to the H models and sent the G's to the boneyard. I was getting short at that time and never had my own H to crew. I sent more than a few G's on their final flight.

I have the privilege of watching buffs take off almost daily.
I have a crazy career, USN87-05 Norfolk till 89 then Hawaii pearl harbor. decided to stay in HI and joined the 291 CBCS in Hilo, stayed there til 97, then to NY 106 RQ, till 99 then 129 rqw then ended at 193 sow. So much for getting out of the Navy not to deploy, at least 8 times to the sanbox with the Guard, did not help that I was a technition either. One thing I have to say is I did not miss much!
