It was a fun day! I just got a new carb+ignition system, so all the tuning has been done by me, I've been working on slowly making it better and learning how to tuneFun day? Rear wheel numbers. Did you do a tune?
Not me. I had a bare 1976 302 with a 4 barrel and long tubes dual exhaust put up a whopping 211 whp on 19 degrees timing. Ran like dog sheit so I backed it to 14 and it made 205. Same thing haha. It made 160 with stock parts increased timing it was rated for 145 originallyI'm surprised it got to 190 something.

This is a 211 hp 302 pushing 4500 lbs with a 3 speed manual. Still not an easy task one would say haha but yeah the Chrysler is slower i agree.During the Formal years performance in especially the luxury cars was dismal at best. Even the pistons were not really as advertised. A lot of them were as low as 7 5 :1. Cams weren't anything to get excited about. And then Lean Burn from mid 1976 to 1978 slowed them down even more. 195 hp to move a 5500 lb car was a chore.
