Granted, we're talking CAD$, but still, ten bucks a liter? Hello Tesla?

That looks like 9 hundred 98 dollars and 40 cents to me. That would be what, about $1.25 U.S.? :poke:

I thought it was a sign in PA at first glance.....As of Jan. 1 Pennsylvania is raising fuel tax another 08 cents for a total of 58 cents per gallon state tax and another 18.4 cents Fed for a total of 76.4 cents per gallon. Pennsylvania already had the highest fuel tax in the country and we just raised it again.

They say this is part of a bill, Act 89 that was passed in 2013 to rebuild our crumbling bridges and this, we're told, will be the last increase. We were also told that the PA Turnpike, I-76 would only be toll for about 10 years, until the original construction was paid off and it's been open since Oct 1, 1940 and still toll so I'm guessing this isn't the last gas tax under act 89.

The Peoples Republic of Maryland is pretty high on gas taxes too. Gas prices on the PA Turnpike are insane too! Priced for convenience.

72.5 cents state only tax, federal is a wash same across all states, per gallon on diesel fuel in PA 28.5 cents per gal state tax in Ohio. If Mr. Trump manages to get manufacturing restarted in the rust belt and I'm a investor/entrepreneur I have a pretty good idea I am not opening a plant in PA that trucks can not afford to get to and haul my product away to customers, yes trucks pay for every mile run in a state no matter if you bought fuel in that state or not, with computers this is harder to hide than ever. Most of New England is screwed by this also during the winter months all your produce comes directly from the west coast even the imported stuff because of the sheer volume of food they can process and inspect trucks headed for you have to go through PA or NY 2 of the highest fuel tax states. Remember the man's name is Tom Corbett if you are looking for someone to curse and burn in hell as you are standing at the produce cooler this winter, our only one term govenor in over 100 years. BTW not all the money is going for road repair as it should a large chunk is being divvied up for transit authorities in the larger cities to keep running bus routes that are no longer profitable because a handful of people will be left stranded without a bus route, also to fund a tunnel under the river for a subway that ends at a casino. Yet another form of welfare without having a single piece of paper cross a desk anywhere in the welfare department.
:soapbox: RANT OVER
This is yet another reason to move as soon as my kid graduates.
