Welcome, ACR Nick

Thanks. I joined the forum mostly because I need a replacement chassis for a 1970 plymouth fury 3 convertible. In doing some research I'm seeing that I could use a c body stub frame from a 69-70 chrysler 300 convertible if I can't find one that came from an actual '70 fury 3 convertible.

@ACR Nick -- sorry to hear about your 'vert. Do you happen to have pictures prior to the hit? Also, it'd be great to hear more about your 1970 Fury's history and see its fender tag or build sheet. You may like this thread:

Here's the tag. I don't have any pictures of it prior to the hit that's on any digital medium but once I find a frame for it and finish the restoration I'll have some good shots for everyone.

Here's some pics of the frame damage. It was a hit hard enough to even bend the torsion bar on the driver's side. The main beam on the driver's side looks to be at least a 3/4" higher than the passenger side. Whoever did work to this frame before I got it wasn't much of a frame guy or much of a welder to my eyes. There's gorilla bubble gum all over this frame.

Thank you for posting! I'll add the tag of PM27L0D137667 to the thread that acts as the informal Last Convertibles registry.

PS: looks like this FK5 Burnt Orange car was repainted ER6 red at some point?

Wow, I could tell that body work was done likely in the late 80s. Likely other dings from the same accident that mangled up the frame, but when I'm through with it, it's going to be light metallic blue with white leather interior. I've got three cows laying flat in my spare room right now with new patterns made, just need to get my leather machines hooked up again since I moved to houston.

Welcome from Virginia. Love the 1970 Fury convertible. Because Plymouths have shorter torsions bars, but same stub frame, I believe any 1969-1970 Plymouth front stub frame will work. You may want to consider broadening your search for a parts car.

Mine needs a trip to the body shop for paint and a small dent.
