OK now I feel like an Idiot: Just saw this forum. Belated thanks to everybody that have welcomed me! Didn't mean to be rude. And thanks again for answering all the newbie questions I've been asking.
About me and my car: I'm new to C-bodies just bought my first 1966 New Yorker 4 door. I have a small block Valiant and a Firearrow race car, and wanted something bigger. This one is gold metallic over green cloth. Very complete, only missing one hubcap. Runs and drives like a champ, but is a bit scruffy and there are some odd noises from the drive train.
After securing my wife's gracious permission I've begun a "rolling restoration" with the goal of a paint job this coming winter. Let's see how that goes! So far I've done a bunch of small things like various fluids, hoses, filters, gaskets, new lock cylinders, bulbs-n-fuses, dealing with some surface rust, wheel bearings and just started on the front brakes this evening.
