Have owned many C-bodies over the years, some mundane and some rare and unusual.

The rarest C's I've had were the convertibles, I had 3 back in the 90's. One was a fire engine red / white top 1968 Newport with original 440 TNT and very unusual options. Another was a 1968 Imperial that was highly optioned. Last was a 1967 Sport Fury. They were all clean rust free #3 type driving cars & I decided to do a full high end resto on one of them & sell the other 2 cars. The Imperial would be the most difficult due to its's complexity & hard to find parts so I ruled that out. I chose the Fury as it was a holy grail car with all hipo options- 440HP, 4-speed, Budd discs, Dana 53, & H/D suspension. Here it is on a nice day last summer. IMG_0287 temp.JPG

The interior is original with the exception of the front seat covers, carpet, & shifter. I have the original C-body only Inland shifter (it's I little bit longer than the B-body). The Hurst unit is more positive shifting so for driving I put in an old '65 style that I had lying around.

Virtually everything under the hood is original. My original booster bit the dust 2 years ago and I'm going to send it out for a rebuild as the Rockauto unit isn't quite right. Went through 2 new replacement M/C's which didn't last long so I sent the original Bendix unit for SS sleeving & seems to be working well now. Disc MC rebuild kits are getting hard to find.

Check out my photo garage as there is a '67 Sport Fury convertible there as well :D, but this one is a 383 HI-PO with a TorqueFlite automatic

Thanks much! Really like the wagon & rag in your garage! Like your stepdad I was probably influenced young, my dad had 3 company C's on 2 year leases way back when, this is yours truly with my sister in 1969. Yes I'm an old fart!

Wasn't her, can't recall exactly but I was often up to no good. Believe it was from going through a plate glass window which I still have scars from.
