What are you working on today??

Wrenched a bit on the '69 D300. I've got the heater assembly ready to reinstall (probably tomorrow after work). Found a good switch for my auxiliary driving lights (finally) after smoking two others.
,
Got the seat and mount off of my old Ford 4000 tractor to put my new seat (off a Spartan ZTR) on the mount. Comfort and adjustable, too! I ordered my brake parts for the 4000 on Friday.

There is a "trunk or treat" tonight at a local BBQ restaurant tonight, so I need to clean up the Imperial for that. Won't take but 45 minutes or so after work. They're providing the candy, so all I have to produce is the trunk! My son has a cool skeleton I'm going to toss in there, plus I'm wearing my dog's hot dog costume..she IS a big dog!

Well it's official, driving season is over. Last weekend the Imperial went into hibernation. See you in late April ol' girl.

Yes, can't beat the price for 6 months of storage.
Only thing that kept me from doing that, was the fact the car had to be there at a certain date, it was always too early for me. But I have cheap storage now, and my landlord is awesome, I pay quarterly after the quarter is over. Can't beat that! I'm actually headed over there right now.

Got the big storage unit cleaned and somewhat organized. It's as good as it's going to I get this year. Pile of crap on the right is mostly garbage, and a few shop supplies. Blue cart on the left is going back home, still rolls like a champ after two years in there, thanks Matco! And I just found my flashlight I've been looking for, blended in being the same color as the cart.

I'm going to have to put the wagon in here, but I'll double tarp the gravel so it has a barrier. The other unit is too much of a mess, and I haven't got the time anymore, great planning and poor execution on my part all spring, summer, and fall. I still need shelving, or just have the parts disappear.

Too much ****.

Just came in from the garage. Put the stock two barrel and intake back on the 64's 361. Then noticed the positive starter wire was loose on the starter itself. Also noticed somebody has put a later model mini starter on it. Wondered why starting didn't sound quite the same. But can't access the post on the starter without removing the starter. Decided to remove the starter. Dual exhaust blocks the bottom bolt (and yes, it's actually a stud and nut but surprisingly the whole thing came out). Did finally get the bolt removed and then decided it was time to go in and go to bed. Tomorrow I'll pull the top bolt and tighten connections.

HOSE!

Installed an ecobee thermostat in the shop.
I had to run a 5 wire cable from the furnace to the ecobee as the existing thermostat had only 2 wires to it.

Works great!

Finished repacking the wheel bearings on a friends trailer, but now I have to replace the lights and rewire it. It's a car hauler so it won't be too bad

Got the console almost ready to go, went with are re pop top plate. It's a 70 but I like the metal version better than. the vinyl version .

Three in no problem, with a little more cleaning and organizing, four would be possible. I can walk around the wagon on all sides.

Completed installation of a whole house humidifier. Fiancé wanted 45-50% humidity to keep the baby grand piano in good shape.

It’s controlled by the ecobee thermostat. Replaced the drain lines for the air conditioning evaporator, furnace condensate and added a line for the humidifier drain. Hot water is supplied to the humidifier.

Found myself outside Saturday morning changing a Idler pulley and belt tensioner for a friend, it was on a 05 Lincoln Aviator that his guy's use to get to job sites. Saves miles on the work vans. It was cold and windy for mid November in MI. After that I did some work on my nephew's 96 Camaro, we changed the diff fluid, a trans mount, repaired the wire for the knock sensor and connector to the LF wheel speed sensor.

After some time attempting to locate a source for some trim clips to retain a piece of trim on the landau top of my 95 Buick Roadmaster Limited, I asked @Zymurgy if he was interested in reproducing this clip. He agreed, requiring 2 good clips (I had 3, missing 1) and we had a deal.
I requested 12. I received the items yesterday and put 2 of the reproductions in with 2 originals. They worked out great and I am indeed happy.
Mr. Bill is ready for a road trip!
Thank you, Michael!

Glad they worked, they were excellent clips to reproduce and seem to be a durable design.

The console is an original piece, the lid, latch and lid catch are re pop items. I had to modify the lid catch to make it latch. Had to narrow the lid catch so as the latch came down it would clear and let it latch.
