Parts cars are your friends... so many little, expensive, hard to find parts can be taken from 1000.00 parts car. Problem is always the storage of a 1/3 taken apart car. Sometimes neighbors dont like

Or the wife/girlfriend. I have another to bring home, but it's not allowed to stay, she'd prefer it gone in a day,and I need more time than that. I'm going to field strip it as much as possible. I just gathered up some more parts for my build hopefully get to finish her soon. Also my wife is going to kill me due to the parts being in our spare bedroom lmao. I've still got a long way to go before shes done tho.
The Freon in my A/C always leaks down over the winter and I always have to top it off in the spring.

I fired the NYB up today to charge the battery. You should of seen the HOA spies coming slithering around and acting like they were doing something else. I kept them standing there for 30 minutes, shut the engine off and got in my Ram and drove off. Suppose to rain for the next week so I didn't have any plans to drive the NYB.

that's what I did for my rusty 61 convertible. Saved a bundle but still a very expensive process. With a 61 Plymouth you don't get a lot of options.

Swapped in th new, leaking lock ring for an old, hopefully sealing lock ring. The old one came out with one little tap of a screwdriver, then I turned it out with two fingers. Old one went in with some force. 
I'll find out when I top off the tank, I only have ten or so gallons in right now.

found one at harbor freight with tach, dwell and temp probe for under $50
That one was in a Sears hardware store on a clearance table at least fifteen years ago. I think I paid around $35 for it and it normally sold for well over $150. After I had it for a while, it stopped working. I took it apart and there was a bad solder joint at one of the plugs. Most likely that is why Sears was discontinuing them.
It's great though... Does everything I need and the thermocouple is great for this use. A tachometer feature would be nice though.

got around to working on my car today... installed a newer carter 2 bbl carburetor, put back my original single groove water pump pulley, replaced the split washers on the idler pulley bracket/water pump housing bolts. hopefully it'll stop the squealing after a few miles after i tighten it down. stripped the threads in the alternator for the bracket idk how i keep doing that o_0 and finally found the source of where the water is leaking in my trunk, temporary filled in the holes is silicone

Washed the Newport, went to the local, "Classy Chassis" car show and brought home some hardware! Genuine piston and rod, pretty cool I thought!!
