What does this key fit???

Trying to find out what mopar this ignition key is correct for. I'm thinking it will fit mopars from 1968-85. Problem is most of the key blanks I see have a letter B on them, this one has a letter I. I've done some research on ebay and determined it may be original to 1968 mopars but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure what the letters mean, but that certainly looks like my 68 keys.

Didn't the key way change in 1968?

I think the key in question has the older style key head which may have been used in 1966 67 & 68 as well.

When did they start using this style key? Was it when the ignition switch move to the steering column?

this was first used in 69, correct the original poster is a 66-68

1970 they went to the locking column. I agree key is 68 and older.Same as my 68 Valiant key.My key is so worn that no markings are left.
