LOL, ok I get it now.
I appreciate the knowledge and Education. I’m 51 years old, been a gear head since I was 10 with my father, albeit mostly Chevrolet and Ford. Myself, I want to learn something new every day, not just Motörhead stuff. Being on here I’m adding a wealth of knowledge. Not just from this post, but perusing other posts. Awesome site.
You and your boat are most definitely welcome. We're all about getting Chryslers to run better and look better, regardless of c-body or boat.

The thing I don't like is when people come onboard and ask, how can I put a chevy 350 in my Duster. Disloyalty to Chrysler has no place here. The place for that is a chevy site.

Annnnd the engine is coming out. Freeze plugs are leaking (steel) and I can’t get a good hit to pop them. One partially came out. But the “skirt” is still in the block.
Play with engines, Car or Boat it will be fun they said LOL
Can’t seem to upload a video from my phone of it running.
Will see about a local rebuild place to get the starter rebuilt this week.

Those are NOT cup type freeze plugs in a 1960 engine!!! There is a cast iron lip in the block, don’t break it off.

heads are the same way

Ok, update. Disc plugs out. THANK YOU 413 for the information, way easier with that major piece of the equation, didn’t have to pull the engine. LOL.
For my next question, has anyone used these from Hemi Hot Heads, and if so what’s your thoughts?
I like the simplicity of them, I like that if it were to start leaking you can replace an o-ring. And being in a boat, I don’t have headers hanging down so they could easily be checked for tightness and even loosened to drain the block for winterizing.
Am I missing something? Thanks James.

I like those plugs! Never seen those before.

There is a pipe plug in the water jacket on each side. You can easily take them out to drain the block And not disturb a freeze plug. clean them up and put anti sieze on the threads first.

I don’t know if this was mentioned or not but on the front of the block right in front of the faults of the valley pan cover you should see the designation for your motor I will show you an example picture of my 413

Thank You, The pad stamps don’t show up up well on a picture as yours do. But I can make up P41 and 1030. As was conveyed to me, it’s a 1960 413, assembly October 30 1959. Here’s the picture I posted prior of the block casting.

Update…core/freeze plugs from Hemi hot heads work great with the lip style block(see previous post).
On another note, if you order from Napa, part number RAY2441055 starter(it is a remanufactered), it is the same configuration, relay and style. The only thing needed is to change the front snout from what is supplied to the original. It will clock/align correctly. Hope this helps someone.
