Hey guys wondering what kind of fuel pump is like the factory one that came with my 71 Sport Fury 383 Super Commando? Both connections for a hose or one for bolt in fuel line and one for a hose? Pics attached.

P.S.: I actually would prefer the one where I can bold in the steel fuel line (feels safer) but want to know whta was original. Would both of these fit anyway?

    Thanks in advance :)

Hmm sure? Ok. So you got any fuel line routing plan for me too? Cant find one in the FSM. So just rubber hose all the way to the carb or just rubber till fuel filter and rest with steel?

    Thanks for replying.

    Would both pumps fit though?

Most 383 Mopars use a two piece steel fuel line that is hooked to the threaded fitting on the first pump. This setup locates the fuel filter between the two sections of steel line behind the alternator. Replacement fuel lines are available on E-Bay, you would need to specify if you have a Holly or Carter 4BBL Carb as the lines are different.(Most are 4160 Holley) To answer your other question, either pump will work, the two nipple pump was mostly used on late'68- 71 383 and '72 and up 400/440 engines. With that setup, the line to the carb from the pump is rubber. '71 FSM has a photo of the pumps section 14-120. (Download at www.mymopar.com, it is free)

The first one with the 5/16" inverted flare fuel inlet is
    1964 - 1968 ---- the M3672 Carter.
    The second one is 1969 - 1971 --- the M4589 Carter.
