So this has always been a bit of a conundrum for me: When I log on to this site, I always hit "New Posts" to see the latest posts from the members. I scroll through until I see a post which I have already read. Then I hit "Recent Posts" and by and large they are the same, but sometimes in a different order. It is the same for "What's New". In addition, if I read a post in "New Posts" or " What's New, it will disappear, probably into the Forum that is belongs in, ie "Interior Parts" of some other. My question is why? What the heck is the difference between New Posts and What's New? or Recent Posts?

Help me out here, cause I am a bit confused (which is nothing new)

I have always seen at as
New Posts: New or updated since you last viewed post. Most recent at the top
Recent posts: New or updated posts. Most recent at the top

After I view the post I want to see I click Mark Forums Read. Now I will only see New (and updated) posts in the New Posts
