What is this part called ? 73 Polara , Below rear bumper....

What is this part called ? Its for a 1973 Polara , it seems to be made of plexglass and located below the rear bumper .

I need to see if I can find a replacement ,

As you can see in the picture theres a hole on the right side .

I'd call it a rear valance Panel.

I had my body/paint guy make one out of steel for my 73 Monaco. Problem solved.

Use of fiberglass or plastic or whatever it is was one year only and a too cheap way out of making a proper die for a steel stamping.

Even if you found an original one, it most likely is warped and questionable for use unless you don't care too much how good it looks.

I'm about to get a few chips in the paint touched up . I guess it would be best just to let the AutoBody Guy make a new piece out of metal like you said .

That looks like a piece broke off as I don't recall it being separate pieces when I went to work on it.
