1966 Chrysler Newport. Family owned since date of purchase. All original. 130k miles. 383 2bbl, factory A/C. Thinking very seriously about putting it up for sale in order to fund another project. I have no idea what it`s worth.

Can't tell you what it's worth (other than it's the price you and a buyer can agree on), but DAMN that's nice.

What it's worth? Priceless. Part of the family for half of a century and still original. You may regret selling it to finance a project, given its provenance and appearance. Anyone else in the Family have a soft spot for the old girl?

I don't know I have a factory black convertible that looks as nice as yours and can't get 6 grand, I am Stepping away from the classics and buying a new Challenger when I can. I love these cars they are superior to GM and Ford as far as I am concerned in the handling department and quality. The problem is hooking up with the right person, I can tell you that my Fathers 52 Stude starlite coupe that he bought new and put like 700,000 miles on. Sentimental value don't mean ****. Nice car I have owned a bunch and have studied Mopar values since I was 12 and that 71 Demon in the background will bring way more.

If the car is as nice as the pic, 6K seems like a good price but as everyone on here will tell you, C-Bodies prices are still soft because they are not very collectable. It seems the market is getting a little stronger and hopefully will continue to grow but, as with anything, it's all about finding the right buyer and that may take years. This is a good place to post in the For Sale section instead of General Discussion. There are folks on here looking for nice cars. Yours being a 2-door, big block with A/C helps.

ill give ya a shiny new quarter for it :D

it's a gorgeous car. good luck if you decide to put it up for sale.

It's a really nice car. I like it.

Will's post says it all. Figuring condition being 2-3, it could sell for $6-$7k.

I'd start at $7.5k and work from there. You know what your bottom line is.

That said... Nice car that's been in the family since new. You are never going to have another like that. I'd have a hard time letting go.

Similar one kicked around my region all summer. It was in front of various homes on various main arteries. Was there as recently as September. Wanted 7000. Was in decent shape. Fewer miles. I think your best bet would be hemmings or a look around if there are any auctions in your 'hood that have a lot of old iron at them.

Hi,

in what condition is it?
How about rust?
How is it mechanically?
How is the paint&interieur
Any maintenance required?
You provide not enough information to give an accurate estimate IMHO
Open range from 4-9k depending on the details above
