Figured I'd create a tread on which wheel and/or tire combo you like best. For me it's a tough decision. I really like them all. If I had to choose, I would say Magnum 500 rims and BFG Radial T/A tires. However Rallye wheels on all 70's cars, and Polyglas tires on the early 70's cars. I want to hear from you. Post comments, opinions etc.
You should really check out this thread: C-Body Wheel and Tire Survey My favourite wheel would have to be these with Polyglas. Dave
Magnum 500 would be my first choice. I also really like the standard 300 wheel cover for the '67/68 300, but they are only 14". The previous owner of my car had changed all the wheels and tires to 15" planning to do a disc brake conversion, but passed away before he did it. He placed '71? New Yorker wheel covers on the car, ok, but changing them is low on my list of other projects that need to be done.
Many variations of the wheel cover pictured, between '69 and '73. Still like the 15x7 or 15x6 Magnum 500s. Solid chrome rim rather than trim rings, fwiw. CBODY67
That's what I'm talking about right there! This car means business! Just enough clearance with the spring and the fender. Yeah, not much chance of doing this program with White Walls...sometimes you've just got to give to get. Nice. So what have you got going on there? Wheel size and Tire size?
Bfg's all around . Front 235/70/15's on 15/6 rims[soon to be 15/7] and the rear are 275/60/15's on a 15/8 rims [All are Wheel Vintiques stock steel reproductions] Back spacing is 4.5 inches on the rear. Tire diameter is just about the same front and rear. Glad you like it!
