You know what's interesting?
I just learned that the 300 front fenders had their own stamping....

The tires look great, I've said it before, the shoes make the man, and tires and wheels make the car.... very nice

I am really pleased with the way the car looks now.
It is very gratifying to have so many people, wherever I drive the car, tell me what a great looking car it is.
I didn't get that reaction with the original old ugly 14" steel wheels and those horrible, blue-painted wheel covers.
I just wish so many of them would quit asking me what kind of Lincoln it is !!
But I guess its the same thing as my 67 Cougar.
Many people have pulled up next to me and asked "What kind of Mustang is that?".

Recommendation was 5 years.......maximum shelf life from date of manufacture is normally 10 years. All tire manufacturer's make that claim for most tires.

And a Cougar ain't a Mustang!
I think they are the Mustang's more affluent cousin. [/QUOTE]

I liked the early Cougars, A lot classier then the Mustang.

This is a 68 GTE 427 Cougar I restored back in the early 90's

I have always had a thing for early Cougars as well.

About the only Cougar I'd like to own. IIRC they quickly switched to the 428 cu.in. engine during production, which would make this one a rather early example.

This is my 67 Cougar. I really enjoy driving this one.
It's not a show car, just a driver but it's a load of fun.
I may take it on Power Tour next year if I get the A/C installed.
