50 year-ago Owner's Manuals were quick reads, with a specs and replacement parts section, plus some pages for notes and such. Now, they are 300+ page encylopedias due to the many cautionary issues. Can't forget the complicated infotainment systems, either!
 
True,battery's are sealed.Have you noticed how these new battery's give you NO notice of upcoming failure? They just instantly die one day without any warning.
 
Most are stilll vented, but with far better baffling to prevent fluid expulsion than in prior times. Unless you want to talk about Optima.

Ironic....... considering they don't teach reading anymore. At least it seems that way.
 
I quit writing long, detailed descriptions in ebay ads when I realized few actually read them. They just look at the pictures and ask questions that are answered in the description.
