Winter storm Harper

We've got about 10" at 15° for the day. I need to go out for the 3rd time with the snow blower to clean the end of the driveway out from the plows.
I like the way out town does the plowing. Everything gets plowed to middle of the street, no driveway to clear out.

We got about a couple of inches and it drifted all over the place

LOL. Must be a small town Peter? My Mother, Her Parents , and Grand Parents grew up in a small town in northern Wisconsin and ah bit north west of Green Bay named Shawano. They did what I'm about to tell yeah Into the late '60s for sure. I know they did it like your town thru the complete Down town area 'cuz I witnessed it in February of '67 when I drove our '66 Riviera over the Big Mac Bridge and buried it in Grand Dads driveway 'bout midnight. That 4500lb Riv waz tobogganing over the drifts all the way crossed US2, lol Next day after we cleared the ice out of the fan and radiator. I drove down town and they'd already swept the sidewalks and curb lanes with N9s with roller brooms on their noses into the middle street and had a 2 1/2 ton with 'bout an 8'X8' snow blower hung on its nose and a pretty long line of 7 yard dumps backed up to have the Snow Blower load 'um up. I followed one of 'um out to the north side of town where the Wolf River crossed under the road and Shawano saw fit to have paved a pretty big turn around area where they had an elevated ramp constructed. They'd back up and dump their loadz into the Wolf River and it in short order that blizzard would be in Lake Superior 'cuz the wolf waz fast mover.(never saw It frozen) lol Necessity iz the Mother of invention rite Peter? Stay warm Pal. A memory I still smile about after 40+ yearz, Jer

It would be in those funny numbers... those make my brain hurt. The only ones that make sense to me is when it's -40, that's when they are both the same:rofl:

Can't wait until some of our Canadian members post their temperatures.

Here you go, but it's in those funny numbers for us, so not to confuse you.

that's only because you sent your cold air this way :poke:. -14 now, not including the wind. -30 last night with the wind. still within the normal range. coldest spell i can remember was 2 or three years ago. it was below zero for 22 days in a row. the ground was frozen 4+ feet deep.
coldest day i can remember without wind was -42. the /6 volare i had was one of the few cars around that started.
