Well, one thing led to another and now the entire dash is out of my 300 for refinishing.
Once removed I discovered a damaged heater/evaporator box. May have been a heater core replacement attempted by some hack back in the day.
If anyone may have one lying around i'd be interested in it, likely 70-71 might work. Looks like I need a case and the connecting part for the defroster duct, which is missing. I can probably repair the case but do need the defroster duct.
ALSO....... An oval firewall grommett, (pictured). Fits right above the steering column area.
I know these little parts are a pain in the butt but don't know where else to find them.
