1969 Dodge Dart GTS, 340 Automatic. Bought in 1975 for $900. Tan with white GTS race stripe on rear. Had to save up for 2yrs. washing dishes at the local supper club.We had 9 kids in the family and my dad could never afford to buy us cars. ‘64 Buick Le Sabre 4dr sedan. 300-something nail head. Instead of trading it in on the next new car, my Dad gave it to me. The new car was a ‘69 Newport 4dr hardtop. I could have been a Buick guy until a drunk driver almost killed me in it. After the Le Sabre was gone, Dad let me drive the Newport a few times. That was all it took. When he bought a ‘73 Pontiac, the Newport was mine. Its been Mopars for me ever since.
57 VW shared with my brother. Fixed it up and drove it for a few years all 37hp. First car I purchased on my own 70 Nova SS 350 4spd yellow with black vinyl.

My very first car was not a c body.... 400 4bbl, slapstick auto. Good times with that one.......good times.
Back then I could only afford the colour. When Plum Crazy made it's debut, I had my Beetle repainted.
