1966 Chrysler 300 Side Trim Well Nuts

How did you get them off the car? The screws on mine are just spinning.
If I remember correctly on mine, this was 10 years, I was restoring and painting. I had the wheel wells and the door panels off, so I could get behind them with a pair of pliers, to keep them from spinning.

I think 3 of the screws are behind this reinforcement. I am taking the fenders off. Hopefully there is a way without drilling holes in this piece.

Here is a screenshot from your post back in 2013. Did you end up drilling?View attachment 660437
I did drill out a few, that post helped refresh my memory. I got the parts I need from Murray Park. I did have the front fenders off when I pulled the engine and transmission, but I had already addressed the trim issue beforehand.

I might drill holes in the reinforcement to get access to those well nuts when I get the fenders off. I guess you can get the well nuts at the hardware store. Thanks.

Thank you for using my old post. Just like Zymurgy I had the inner fender off and was able to hold the well nut from the back side, on the last three behind the reinforcement I used a drill to spin the nut while carefully prying on the molding. this wore away the rubber and once off, I was able to get a hold on them.
