Well wish I read this first. I used the gasket and sealant. Talked to Dr differentail and told me to adjust lash to .005 hope I got it right. Torqued the nuts to 35fp, was afraid to go higher and snap studs. I didn't have enough oil but had enough to turn the tires while on jack stands...

I forgot to get the gasket for the 3rd member so it sits. The 3rd member looks real clean! Axles fit in and even has correct yoke. The little 3.23 tag came in so will be a nice little detail on it. Can't wait to finish it up. Took the opportunity to paint everything up.

Yeah rereading that doesn't sound good. When I typed it I changed rear end to 3rd member as I thought it was worse lol.

Also if you backfired too much thru the carb could have taken out the accelerator pump. I put a brand new carb on my car and it backfired and ruined it. I was lucky the store took it back and gave me a new one.

how long does it last before it blows thru. I do less then 2,000 miles a year. I would assume I should get many years out of it.
