If they had time to put those wheels/tires on it they had time to fix the exhaust leak.
Must've been stored with a lot of moisture changes, the underhood shows a lot of tarnishing.
Esp rearward of the fendertag - I've never seen surface rust like that in that location before.

its nice, but IF correct mileage, it saw(and learned from experience) IF somewhere UNdriven for a long time, that itself could be deterimental

The underhood scale is problematicas well , plus "dry-rot/dis-use" maladies (unknow, but fixed?) it likely had/has from sitting idle 50+ years perhaps in less-than-ideal storage conditiions?

Would seem to need eyes-on, butt in seat, (NO diss to the seller) for serious buyers to be siure one knows what they are getting.

Ostensibly, still a nice car. Hope it finds a good home.

In 56 years I would imagine there would be some environmental changes.
I wonder what that would cost to keep in a perfect environment chamber for that long.

Who REALLY believes that mileage?
I do chief, BUT I am (if I were a player) more like Uncle Ronnie on this one. Extra helpings of in person "verify", cuz we are being asked to believe it essentially left the assy. plant and then in essence sat for 50+ years.

Lot more info/corroboration/documentation I would need to get into the asking price neighborhood (which doesnt scare me, unless car's story don't hang together).

I do (would) have a s*** ton of questions, again were I remotely a player here. :).

Still a nice car. I do like it. I wish it well. Maybe someone here will check it out and report.

Why is the inside trunk area painted black? No underside pictures and stoopid wheels we can just guess at the target market right?

It is likely the dark gray spatter paint used in some years including 1968.

For a few grand more you could buy my 1968 Sport Fury with a 520” stroker.

Younger people? 20" wheels are pretty common today, I have them on the Charger, and how many half ton trucks have them, from the factory? It ain't just a certain demographic that likes them.

Yes you can.
You wouldn't put them on your monacos.

Yes I can what?

I probably wouldn't put them on my Monacos, but I'd roll this car just like it is. A torque thrust wheel will always be fine for me, even a 20". I'd rather go with a 17" or 18" if I couldn't find anything I like in 15's.

i take it with 20's, but not my first choice. looks to be easily remedied on this car.

i dont like bigger than 17's on my vintage (pre-1990)stuff. bigger tires "feel funny". its completely irrational, just like a clean car feeling like it "rides better" than when its dirty :poke:

yeah, my new trucks for past 6-8 model years all have 20's. luv the look. even did it to mix it up with OE Rallyes (15x8) on my 9C1 Tahoe for a couple seasons (20x9).
