Drum booster on disc brake car...

No pie tin would be correct for any engine option

No visible electronic ignition box. Also the black wire loom stuff. Totally wrong.

The car is really nice. For some, it might be slightly over restored, but I'm OK with that... At almost $40k though, I would expect no plastic GM type loom and the right booster. The ignition box is so common that it really wouldn't bother me.

I like the Monaco grille and tail lights... But does that increase or decrease value? Same for the other deviations from how the car was built/delivered. As the price goes up, when do we start deducting for things like this? My own cars have changes like that so I'm not being judgmental. Just wondering out loud....

i"m with you on this one, chief.

First, I aint dissin', I ain't throwin' shade, I aint a buyer. CHerry sled, looks to be in overall excellent shape.

She's beautiful, and has things "nott quite right". Outta my range at the ask, even at the likely transaction price, but I'd spin it proudly.

I wonder out loud too .. experts here (I hope we dont) could pull the wings off it .. is it "over-restored" for our beloved C's?

Any event, hope it does well and finds a good home.

My black car has a 440 magnum pie tin on it currently and HP manifolds. Whenever I get around to actually restoring it, I'll go back to logs and ditch the tin.

I was just picking at the comment saying "correct in every way"

I dont know if the Monaco stuff adds or subtracts value. To me it subtracts from the value, it's a "what if" car done incorrectly. The car needs the thick Monaco belt line moldings, Monaco seat covers and door panels.

I was just picking at the comment saying "correct in every way"
That is the type of verbiage that makes me cringe a little... Kind of like how "original" and "restored" are somehow interchangeable.

And "NOS" applied to "NORS" parts....

nothing yet stoppin' me from buyin' -- 'cept maybe little stuff like .. oh.. the price and my old age (relative to the amount of orange money needed to put it in the warehouse :poke:).

i'll watch it vicariously thru you cats. :)
