Hey All,
I have a newly rebuilt 440 engine for my 71' Fury police car. Aluminium top end. I went with a stock style mopar low rise aluminum intake. I was worried about hood clearance.
Question is, if i use the stock 71' dual snorkel air cleaner, can i switch over to a high rise RPM style intake and still close the stock hood?
Thanks!

Ps. Tried the search feature but didn't seem to find anything. ..

No, unfortunately. Using the RPM will require an aftermarket air cleaner.
The low rise Performer will allow the use of the stock air cleaner.
Moot point.
1. The low rise is more suitable for the street.
2. You will never feel the difference tween the two on the street. It will only show up on the ET. slips from the track. And it would be negligible, if any.

Ok thanks! :) I'll just stick to what i have. Engine still dynoed 415hp @4900rpm with 488ftlbs@ 3400rpm, untuned and running a little on the rich side.

Thanks :) should be a fun cruiser with plenty of go
