Hi,
I had opened a topic about this before but it came to no conclusion. I had replaced the Idler arm, all the ball joints, strut rod busings and the tie rod ends about 2 years ago. about a year ago I did the motor mounts and the shocks in the front. Non of this solved this sound. When I go over small bumps, accelerate from a stop, sometimes when I come to a stop I hear this clunck coming from the front end. I also noticed it once when I wanted to turn the steering wheel while parked and no power assist on the steering, I turn the wheel and "clunck". It sounds like it echoes through the whole car and I cant seem to find the cause of it. Greasing all the joints does not make a difference either. I am suspecting a worn pitman arm but how do I chec it and/or replace it without a lift? I have no place to really wor on the car anymore other than the grocery store paring lot across the street, so I have to be as stealth as possible... oh yeah, driving a straight road it sort of scary sometimes, it feels like it wanders a lot and just dosent feel "solid" straight. Had an alignment done too after I changed all the parts.
Also, my leafsprings are squeaing pretty good, is there a specific lube i should use on them? Or just gie them a powerwash at the carwash?
