Hey All,

I have two little dogs that wear harnesses and tethers when taking them for rides in our modern cars. Their tethers clip directly into modern car seat belt female buckles, but do not work on our vintage Mopars with airplane style lift-to-release female buckles.

Does anyone know of an adapter that can be used?

Thanks - from the photos and the length, it looks like the design makes use of the angled part of a 3 point setup, which of course my cars don't have.

I think what I'm going to do is get something like this, and use the floor anchors to provide dedicated female buckles that fit the dog tethers' male ends. It will result in having the male ends of the setup in a box on the shelf, but hey, my dogs are worth it. The pic on the left is a generic offering of a lap belt setup from Amazon - since I know my dog tethers' male clips work with my Honda and my Subaru female buckles, I'll probably just go to the wreckers and get a couple of Honda ones.

summons some creativity and make one from another seat belt.
