I am selling my 1968 Plymouth fury vip. It is a 383 2 bbl, it runs and drives good, just had this car out today on a 60 round trip mile drive to Bridgeport ct with no issues. Tires have a lot of meat left on them. Car is a a/c car, ac does work but has a slow leak and could use a shot of r12 if you can find any. The previous owner had the transmission redone. Since I have had the car I have rebuilt the carburetor, did a tune up, replaced the vacuum advance. The car is very solid underneath floors, framerails etc (I will be happy to photograph any part of the car you want to see). The chrome is amazing for a original car. Back seat was re upholstered by previous owner, headliner is very good. Car has been garaged since I have owned it.

Original am radio still works, paint still shines but has some defects as some of the paint is original paint, car has been touched up in parts at some point in its life. have a brand new set of leaf springs and shackles included with the car and some other miscellaneous parts as well.

I am asking $2900 o.b.r.o. Sacrifice sale, but lost job and am moving across country to Phoenix AZ in June for a job and to live with family that moved there already, and can only take two vehicles with me. Private message me if interested or any questions.

I also am selling other cars including a
1965 Plymouth fury I $500,
1963 Ford thunderbird 390 4bbl for $3500 and a
1997 Toyota Tercel turn key and drive car needs nothing for $1500 great commuter 35 mpg.

Jon, very sorry to hear of your circumstances.

I sold this car to Jon last year and have some photos and know some of the history of the car. This car runs great. Just charge up the a/c and it will work fine. R12 can be found on eBay.

Hope someone else on FCBO can give this car a good home.

Thanks Bill, I don’t want to sell but have to, am selling off everything just about.

Again very sorry. If it were me, and I was keeping one classic car it would be the VIP over the 72 Fury. 72 Furys are a lot easier to find.

Will eventually be selling the 72 as well but it has no brakes currently, getting that fixed before selling it as well.

Jon, I would love to come see your car. I am located in CT and could come see it this weekend. I am looking for my first classic, looks like a beautiful car.

Do you want to communicate via phone or email? You can email me directly at mlodsin at yahoo dot com. As a new member (though I have been lurking for a while), I do not know if I can receive direct messages yet.

Michael, if you click on a user's name a box will pop up that gives you an option to start a conversation that will start a private message. Also, as the former owner of this car, I would always be available to answer questions etc. about the car should you buy it.

Bill

Thanks for the info Bill! I will definitely send you some questions... I have been hunting for my own classic and ever since following a C body two years ago on a warm summer day... I have been on the hunt.

No problem Michael. FYI, I currently have a 71 Fury III 2 door on eBay for sale but I don't think you could go wrong with Jon's VIP. That car runs great.
