They did a great job on the restoration and you can learn a lot watching the video.

Yeah...that IS kind of rare...to see anyone go to that length on a restore of that year.

1961 was the year that Dodge "fell off a cliff"...when it comes to styling (in many people's mind).

But the CHP seems to have loved them.

I think this one was already featured in restored condition back in the early 90s in a Cars and Parts publication. Used to serve as a dog shed at a junk Yard for decades before that IIRC.

They show before pictures in the video. It was in pretty rough shape.

California AAA has the car. They say a lot of volunteers worked on it and donated parts.
