I would have to look at my birth certificate to see which hospital, but I was born in Detroit. We didn't move to the thumb until about 1974And in a hospital not too far away from where Will was messing around that summer I was born. July 13th ‘69.
Will, where was that pic of the trailer approaching the tunnel taken? Looks exactly like one of the blue mountain tunnels just west of carlisle. And yes, i know those tunnel entrances often look alike.
Great pictures, Will. What scanner did you use to make the old pics come out so clear in digital format? Thanks, BenThese are some pic's I took during the summer of 1969, my first summer back from Viet Nam. My brother, a friend and I crewed for Wally Booth, his only season racing a Mopar. A SS/E hemi Super Bee. It was a great summer of adventure traveling the eastern tracks and NHRA nationals. Best ET. with the Super Bee was a 10:99 at York us 30. View attachment 333749

March 68... we've already speculated which back seat I may have been conceived inAnd in a hospital not too far away from where Will was messing around that summer I was born. July 13th ‘69.
I never tire of the stories that go with these, but thank you for adding the pictures to support the mental images. They were scanned on a old HP photo smart. The HP ENVY 4500 I use now works even better Ben.
I remember that the timing made it plausible but in Washington state?March 68... we've already speculated which back seat I may have been conceived in
Two cars back is "The Drag-on-Lady" Shirley Shahan".

Was this the 67 GTX ? I know she did race a 69 Hurst AMX, was this beside the GTX or did the AMX come a bit later ?
Yeah, you're probably safe... but I'm still enjoying the image of you putting the picnic basket in the trunk just in case.I remember that the timing made it plausible but in Washington state?
