Is a 70 newport windshield the same as a 71?
Is a convertible the same as a hard top?
Are the 4 door windshields different than the 2 door windshields?

And again, 70 and 71 the same?

Im sorry to jump on your band wagon but I have a very similar question so I hope you dont mind.
I need to know if the windshield from a 1967 Dodge Monaco 2 door fast top, will fit in my 1967 Dodge Polara 500 convertible?

Thanks!!

No. The fast top windshield is shorter.

They used two windshields on all the C-bodies from '69-73. One fits the four door sedans and wagons (41,45,46) and the other fits everything else, two door sedans, two door hardtops, convertibles, fastback, four door hardtops, (21,23,27,29,43)

69 - 73 C Bodies used the same windshields, but sedans and wagons used a different windshield than the other body styles.

Fixed.

A 2 door sedan fuselage windshield used the same as the other body styles.

Thanks BigJohn! its nice to see it printed out. It looks like W657 is the correct part number for my cars windshield. Do you know if the part number is stamped on the glass somewhere that you can tell while the glass is still in a car?

With all this being said, what options do I have for my 68 300, 2dr. Have a bad, big crack in mine.

IF there might be an industry part number anywhere on the glass, it would be where the ID "ink stamp" is on the glass, I suspect.

I have an old MOTOR Crash Manual stashed away. It has the industry part numbers the body shops would use to order glass in it. As might the similar Chilton Crash Manuals.

Enjoy!

We replaced a unit in a 71 Monaco 4 door (ht) last year. It was not easy to fing or cheap. With install it was the better part of a grand which is a lot considering these don't use a gasket. Shippng was a big cost factor in that deal.
