new yorker beats a mustang twice

I want to know his secrets on how he gets that NY'er to hook so well. That is awesome running high 12's in a car that heavy.
 
That was a regular 1/4 mile track. He has coil springs and traction bars in the rear. Which makes for a lot lighter rear end, and better traction.

He's one of us, too. Wrote here about that car only a few weeks ago. Wanted to make it even faster.
 
IF that Mustang had a ringjob done, and a little more work, would be a whole different story.
NY's owner did an awesome job getting to this point, though, no doubt.

yes c bodies can go fast , my 65 880 rag has a tired 383 auto , just a few parts and it would run to 120 mph in second with 276's re , but it would take off again when shifting it into third or drive . opened some of my buds eyes . not a quarter car . but i saw a 64 nyr run 12.40's all day long it was a driver . that car hook'd up brothers . and this 64 300 k runs in the

A split-second glimpse looks like 14.49 from this car, but the acoustics on takeoff are awesome. One of my favorite car-vids on YT.
