Steve the "A23" on the tag is the SPD.
It was supposed to be assembled on the 23rd October 1969.

I understand why you are on the fence on whether or not keep the GT. I just want to say that they are great driving cars with, IMHO a great balance between handling and ride and if you restore it, I don't think that you will ever regret it.

Cash talks. But my initial plan was buy the unknown GT for the extra parts and part the car out. That little A52 code ruined my plan. Now I am leaning towards keeping it.

As for the keeping, parting out, selling question, I have struggled with this for several years regarding my “parts car”. Too cool to part, too early to part with, too much trouble right now to make a driver, so it sits.
If your heart isn’t into it then the end result will show. Just ask the guy who collected all the NOS parts for it in the first place.
