OK, folks, I was finally able to track down who is doing the reproduction washer bottles and some details on the effort.

First of all, unless you are into Forward Look cars and restoring them like I have been, you may not know of Gary Goers. He supplied hundreds of reproduction parts for those special 1957 - 1961 cars and some others from that era as well that were essential to restoring one since most NOS parts for those cars are long gone. He did a lot of the rubber reproduction parts such as seals, grommets, weather strips and a bunch more plus even some chrome emblems and so on. Without his help, restoring one of those cars would be near impossible if you want a top quality car in the end. Due to health reasons though, last year he sold his whole business to Quirey Quality Design in PA. They bought out all his molds, nos reproduction materials (a lot of which was reproduced by SMS) and much more.

Well in trying to track down who the supplier might have been supplying Mopar Performance their reproduction washer bottles for our cars many years ago, the guy I talked with at MP indicated that the part was no longer a valid part number. But in looking at a list of suppliers of Restoration Parts in their Mopar Performance Restoration Catalog on line, I noticed that a single company was mentioned as supplying most of the washer bottles for the older mopar vehicles. A little surprisingly, I found out that it was Quirey Quality Design.

I have had to order a part for my 1960 Chrysler 300F (a seal that goes between the starter solenoid and the starter itself that Gary Goers used to supply) so I called them this morning to order that part from them now. At the same time I asked them about their reproduction washer bottles to find out more about them and to see if they would consider reproducing the 70-73 C body bottles that so many of us need.

Well, I found out that they own the molds for all the Chrysler washer bottles at least up to 1975 but they might own some later ones as well. And they are a licensed Mopar Reproduction company. I was told that the bottle we need is definitely in the production process by them and the company that does all their blow molds for them is now working on the one we want. They had hoped to have it ready for Carlisle in 2018 but are now shooting for Carlisle 2019. Since they are a licensed Mopar reproduction company, all the lettering and details of the original washer bottles will be on the reproduction ones too, an important detail that is critical for me. I want them exactly as original. So they confirmed that.

So they guy I talked with said they are definitely going to be reproduced, but since buying Gary Goers out, they have really been focusing on getting that part of the business ramped up as the orders for the Forward Look stuff are coming in strong, which was a bigger surprise to them than expected and also good news for me for the part I need for my 300F. The guy I talked with on the phone, Todd, said he would be talking with the owners tomorrow to see where things stand with the washer bottles, so I will call him back again tomorrow to get a more current update. But we certainly have real hope of being able to buy them soon. More to come.

That's great news, Steve! Helluva job on the sleuthing!:thankyou:

And thank you Mario for catching my miss spelling of the word "sleuthing" - by the time I noticed my goof, I found I could not change the title! Can't get nothing by you! lol

Edit: Thanks to Chris it is now fixed!

Steve, you can change the title by clicking on Thread tools and edit title. And by the way thanks for your effort.

I had to look up Qurey Quality and it turns out it's located in Windber, PA. That sounded familiar and I looked and that's the home town of Restoration Specialties, the folks that sell/make a lot of stuff, including the Top Cat cat whiskers.

Since Windber is a small town, it makes me wonder if the two are related.

This isn’t a part I’ll ever (probably) need, but I love to hear progress on any Mopar reproduction parts.

Nice job Steve, I'm pretty sure we all thought we'd never see new ones again!
Where in PA are they? Just curious. And what else do they have up their sleeves we should know about?

Thanks78 Brougham-is your name Bob by the way? (I get the names of the 78 Formal guys mixed up!). I think Big John, in his post above is probably on to something....................

Kenny, Bob is 78NYB...
Ahhh now I get it. I missed his post, thanks.
He's right they almost have to be related!

Thank you...I absolutely will be getting one if they become available and not ridiculously expensive.

I am pretty sure Vans was going to supply these bottles, probably through Quirey Design as well, but they wouldn't disclose who the producer was going to be to me. When I asked Vans for the expected price on these bottles, the reply was around $60 - $80. About what other repop bottles are going for. So that isn't unreasonable.

Yes...

I love this sort of seeee-luuuuthing stuff!

Fortunately, my bottle is minty for some reason. Maybe it was replaced with NOS back when second owner refreshed the car in 1998/99. It's definitely not new, with slight discoloration and a few scuffs from tools, etc. But it's a little better than azblackhemi's! :wideyed:

Great detective work, I'll be keeping an eye out for these. Thanks.
