It is complete but I am not sure if it has the knobs. If it used same knobs as an am then I have a set. Would need some investigations.
Might work but never powered it up. If I recall, some of the sheet metal has rust, hence needs resto.
It is the same size as yours. But is a core - needs redoing. Never tried to power it up. They are kinda rare. Be a great candidate to get modern guts put in it but retain the factory am/fm look, especially for the right car. I decided to go the way my car was built - radio delete so I no...
Don't know anything about that one. That was at my restoration guy's shop.
Some more pics. Some things were not done correctly that I will need to fix.
260 lb-ft is a weakling. My biggest one is 1100 lb-ft. My medium duty id 650 lb-ft. I personally would pass on a 260 lb-ft if it was my main impact tool. I have 4 or 5 Milwaukee battery powered impacts both 12 volt and 18 volt. The serious ones are 18 volt.
I have never heard of unloading the torsion bars in 65, but I guess anything is possible. I know I have taken transmissions out of 65 cars when parting them out, and I know I never relieved the torsion bars. Others will probably have better feedback.
I actually had the exact same leak on a...
Yup - been there done that. I can't remember if I had to shim or mill it down. My 67 383 cracked and the replacement had the same casting number but different lengths.
That is a good deal. I bought a spare at $65. Not sure which vendor. The difference between the older and newer ones is the extra electrical connector. Takes a little to figure out how to wire it, but it works.
I've got a set of pedals in pieces that need clean up. Manual brakes - power brake very hard to find. The spring has rust pitting so not in good shape. I also have a z bar and the z bar frame bracket. These are from a 65 Fury.
PM if interested.
So if a uncoated pan, I spray the sealing surfaces with a spray sealer. Dabs of silicone only go in the corner of the heads by the rails under the pan.
