Hi! Long time no see! I'm not big on chrome either... Black headers would be just fine. :) I was hoping this would be easy, but I did buy a C-Body. Just trying to order the right drums and wheel studs has my head spinning. 2-3/4? 3? Budd? Kelsey-Hayes? Neither? Heavy Duty? Haha! I almost want to...
Tallhair, thanks for the input. I do insist on headers, simply because I'm a sucker for pretty pipes. I put an Edelbrock 4 barrel & performer intake on it when the itty bitty stock carb gave up on me, but I haven't opened up the engine. Not in full build territory yet... still in Bolt-on land. I...
Thanks for the info guys. I guess I'm that one strange person who wants a VIP to be loud. I have a cracked manifold, or I wouldn't give a darn about replacing them. I'm broke, or this would be solved already. I looked for hp manifolds & couldn't find them for less than $600/pair. I suppose I...
I'm having trouble finding any of the threads I looked at last year on this forum regarding headers. I want to do headers on my '67 4 door VIP (383), and someone said the B & E body shortys (part # 78070 I think) from Hedman would work, but I want to hear from you folks on what you've done for...
I'm pretty sure that isn't the case with my car, but I'll keep diigging. All this info is helping me confront all the little stuff I've been ignoring for months. Now that the car runs better I can worry about the junk that'll get me pulled over. :)
Yeah, I'll get around to tooting soon. I've been out of work for two weeks, so I'm not feeling very proud of myself at the moment. Some noteable work though, is all the gaudy scenery in Big Brother on CBS for the last 4 years... Revamp of the Star Tours ride at Disneyland... Tons of the...
has2bmopar,
Thank you!!!!! Very helpful. True, no cornering lights, but will the right part have two connections for each front signal? (I have the little bullet signal indicators on the top corners of my fenders) or does that split take place later in the wiring?
Also, my reverse lights are...
The link worked, but eBay gave me some trouble in the mobile site. My Droid likes the full site better. My husband would totally LOVE your "yard". More room for cars & trucks!
Ah, so if I understood you correctly, you disapprove of Bondo AND fiberglass, and if I want to eliminate the trim I should break out the welder. (The presumed "right way the first time") And if/when I feel like selling the car I should then find a buyer who didn't want the trim either! :)
I'm curious why you're wondering that. What's the preferred method? I'm planning to plug my trim holes with kitty hair because it's tougher than Bondo, but if I ever sell the car to a purist, he can grind off all the paint & find the original holes still. Then just punch them out & reinstall...
