This is exactly what I did with my '66 Fury. Stuffed in 3.73 ring and pinion and went to a 275/60/15 tire. Great kick in the pants with a warmed over 440 and not terrible rpm at 75 mph. I think it's around 2800 going 75

Have owned a 1966 Fury II for the past 24 years and have just finished a refresh of the drivetrain. Fresh 0.40 over 440 with .545 lift cam, 440 stealth heads, intake headers, etc. Rear gear just swapped to 3.73 ring and pinion. Car runs strong and am looking forward to driving it this year. Will...
