    1975 Monaco Floor Pan Advice?

Murry Park probably still has a bunch of formals, but I have no idea what kind of money he would want to cut out a couple floor sections. Jeff

    1975 Monaco Floor Pan Advice?

If you want to look for used ones, 1974-'78 Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth will all be the same. Just like with the older body styles, the length difference is in the rear floor pans. Jeff

    Frame repair. Fix or scrap

Since it's a derby car, you could set it on it's side to make the job quite a bit easier, instead of welding overhead. Jeff

    Wood experts needed

As usual, you've got every aspect of the project well accounted for. Very impressive work so far. I look forward to seeing the completed cluster. Jeff

Do you have the woodgrain inside the gauges too? My memory is slipping on this one. Can't remember if they stopped that part way through '69 or if it was 1970. I'd be inclined to match the gauges as close as possible if that's what you have. Jeff

How necessary is brake swedging for these hubs+drums?

Most or all Chevrolet front drums weren't swaged from the factory throughout the 60's and 70's. They did have a tab on the drum that indexed to the hub so that the drum would go back on in the same position each time. I think the main reason many manufactures swaged the drums on was to keep...

The pattern is probably based on a "Figured American Walnut" or possibly a "Figured Black Walnut". https://www.rockford-industrial.com/Presses-/Machesney-Park-/Figured-american-walnut-veneer-48-leaves-369-sq-ft.HTML If I mess with the contrast and brightness to simulate a darker stain, it...

    Help with window parts

I don't recall ever seeing that piece on any cars that I've worked on. Is it a 1965? Jeff

    No gears

Did you check to see if the linkage inside the trans is moving with the linkage outside the trans? If it's not linkage, you're likely looking at a pump issue, or possibly a stuck open pressure relief valve. Jeff

    Yellow tinted Cornering Lights?

Hi Julian, I don't think that it's supposed to have the yellow tint. After seeing such a high percentage of flawed NOS parts, I've come up with a theory that many non-mechanical factory replacement parts are ones that failed quality control inspection and deemed not good enough to go on a...

    No gears

I had a similar issue with a '68 Newport. The trans pan was so full of clutch material that it completely blocked off the filter. I cleaned out the mess, installed a fresh filter and fluid, and the trans worked fine again, though I doubt that it would have worked well for very long. It wasn't...

    My new 1970 New Yorker

Sorry, I had to do that. Looks like a great project you have. Be sure to keep us updated on your progress. Jeff

Ignition cylinder removal / replacement 1971 Imperial

The tilt/telescopic column that Chrysler used was made by General Motors. This video of replacing the ignition cylinder on a 1975 Cadillac should be pretty close to what you need to know. This guy doesn't have a lock plate depressor tool, so he uses a little trick with the steering wheel...

Ignition cylinder removal / replacement 1971 Imperial

We will need to know if you have a standard column or a tilt/telescopic. Cylinder replacement is different between the two. Jeff

Rear Screen for 1973 Chrysler New Yorker 2 dr Hardtop

The Imperial rear glass is different from Chrysler, both 4 door and coupe. '72-'73 Chrysler, Dodge, and Plymouth coupes all shared glass, except the '72 Plymouth Formal coupes, which used the 4 door HT rear glass. Jeff
