    rebuilt Thermoquad issues

Hello and thank you for your replies. As for timing - I set up idle with all vacuum ports capped off - no vacuum attached to distributor too - only base timing (8 degrees). But maybe distributor weights get stuck - I will check these anyway (though I'm not sure it is the issue, since idle rpm...

    rebuilt Thermoquad issues

Well, I'm back. Although I found out what was wrong with my carb earlier (accelerator pump was stuck), now I have different issue, probably caused by my rebuild this time. I wanted to set proper idle/mixture and timing after rebuilt - timing is set at 8 deg according to label, but idle is...

    TQ piston screw setup

Thank you, makes sense to me. I wonder if it can prevent jet closure with full vacuum - i.e. piston rod will touch the cam(and plate) earlier than rods close out the jets. Anyway, I assume I will still need several tests - set up the screw according to the pic I made before teardown, then turn...

    TQ piston screw setup

Well, I screwed up and screwed this screw back an forth before I've read that it should not be touched (( Although I have this pic how critical is it to set up properly? Any advice? Should I tune it a bit on a running car?

    Carb fuel line connector

Yep, used 13mm wrench which is 0.012" bigger than 1/2" wrench

    Carb fuel line connector

I assume its main purpose is to crack loose different bleeders, but if "spread a bit wider" it is possible to squeeze a line inside of the wrench and use it in such situations.

    Carb fuel line connector

I have set of these flare nut wrenches, but this wrench still was stripping the nut. I've also tried universal wrench, but it was either el-cheapo one, or nut is too small for proper grip - it was spinning too. Vice grips and pipe wrench was the last method, since it's easy to destroy nut...

    Carb fuel line connector

Hello, was trying to pull TQ from my BB, but this nut seem to be super tight. I wonder if there are any pitfalls? Reverse thread maybe? It's getting round rapidly but still not moving. Left it soaking in atf for now..

SOLD Brownie the 1973 Imperial by Chrysler.

Good catch :p however company I work with exports cars from US, not sure if they will be able to handle everything through Canada. I will contact them to verify, as the price seem to be reasonable for this Imperial.
