Hi everyone, Starting the revival process of my 59 Imperial Lebaron. One of the few missing parts I have is the right back-up lens, like the attached at the photo. Does anyone have anything out there? I think 57 and 58 has same lens, but not 100% sure. Thanks for your help! David

Thanks for your suggestion. Yes, all points to the starter. Will see what I do. A company already rebuilt it, but it seems they didnt do it properly. To send it to USA, and send back must cost a fortune, as it's veeeery heavy. That's why I was looking to a modern compatible engine, just to check...

Hi! No. The engine barely turns with the spark plugs on. Complete a full turn with a lot of difficulty and very slow. The second turn stops, and the cable coming up from the solenoid gets very, very hot

Oil is not the problem. As said, when it's released from sparks plugs it runs fantastic, and any oil excess was released. Answering your second question, I even gave ground straight to the starter body from the battery, and same with the positive. But same. Everything points to the starter...

Yes, I think that too. Even put two brand new 100 AH batteries in paralell, to be sure no power was lost. And nothing.

Thanks for your help. I changed the motor oil and also oiled the cylinders. And yes, opened the valve covers, and they are opening and closing rightly. Motor turns really fine without the sparks. On the next days will try to make a video, and will show it to you. Thanks again!
