More electrical issues...this time brake lights

Yeah, the world is getting nastier every year it appears. I increasingly hear my mother despondently say " I'm glad I'm 80, and lived when I did..", as she sees the society around her going nuttier and brain-dead more and more .

No Brake Lights and a Valuable Lesson Learned

I love it when guys say " its got major electrical problems". It's as if the thing can defy the known laws of physics. No, it just has some electrics that are incorrect or broken that need troubleshooting. That's all. Invest enough time and effort, and sooner or later, logic will prevail.

Hi there 72roadrunnergtx, I bought the 72 Plymouth/Dodge/Chrysler FSM CD-ROM and going through all the wiring diagrams, I have not see the one that you posted above- the Fury body wiring diagram. Do you recall where you found that wiring diagram? I would like to source a copy. I guess its on...

Do aftermarket/ modern electronic distributors contain ballast resistors or ignition modules?

Cheers Dave. Yes- I agree about the knocking stuff being crap. It's because the usual rules of economics are at play- pay less, get less. I would rather pay a bit more, and get something made to a better standard, so that's why I always return any previous work done , back to OEM. The ignition...

Do aftermarket/ modern electronic distributors contain ballast resistors or ignition modules?

Clearly it seems the answer must be a YES So, my '71 NYer with original 440, was a non-runner, and is being slowly sorted out, as I could not bear to see such a great big piece of motoring beauty to sit and fade away. The original Carter was really siezed up, so was kept, and replaced with a...

    The 1972 Chrysler Thread

Cheers once again Mopar men. Yes-established it's a 1971 vehicle, two doors, electric drivers seat and windows, a green that initially looked pretty ordinary, until a bit of elbow grease revealed a much better shade hidden below a layer of invisible baked on shiite.Heres the fender tag again...

I'm attempting to confirm the ID of these 2 little terrors!

Hello again ayilar, and my apologies for the delay. I spent 2 nights in hospital due to me waking up with a paralysed and numb hand. My thoughts were mild stroke or spider bite ( sometimes where I live, the critters will be felt crawling on one's leg or arm, but a quick aimed flick of the...

Hello RWCearley, amazing, we are both restoring/repairing/fixing almost the same cars, at the same time, and i too am rewiring the wiring looms . My 1971 NY is the same green as yours I believe, has tilt/tele steering wheel, 440, electric seats/windows, 2 door. This week I have worked on all...

I'm attempting to confirm the ID of these 2 little terrors!

Yes, that vin is correct. I have included a picture of some fender tag decoding i did 2 years ago when I first bought the car. I will follow up with your recommended members about the 2 items I was wanting to ID. The point I was getting at is that its a 1971 car, no doubt about that. However it...
