Closing this thread: the shoes seemed to be the core problem. The rear shoes were Napa purchased 1st picked up the car. The fronts were Dynamic Friction and purchased recently. Both sets were made in China. One front wheel would randomly hang up, and once the brake grabbed, it would remain...

That's kinda what it feels like; the brakes just aren't grabbing like they are supposed to. I could not find front shoes any place locally. Fast Undercar sourced them from their supplier in LA. They were not cheap. I bought the last rear set Napa had west of the Mississippi... I'll try a spacer...

While these would physically work on Imperial, the finish was brushed vs. Polished. Your elite marquee couldn't be seen sharing too many parts with its lesser, pedestrian counterparts.

I have a '64...and the fiberboard panels are reproduced by REM. I ordered mine directly from them a few years ago.

I started the new year off right and backed into something in the shop and mangled the piece shown in the pic. 2188389 is what the parts book shows. Shared with Chrysler wagons of the same vintage. Maybe it's serviced as part of an assembly. The ride will be to Seattle, WA.

Mines missing. So is the bracket. Random internets suggests 2580998 is the appropriate part with the bracket. My 1964 parts book doesn't have that number. Experts wanna chime in? If not can some send a picture of theirs so I can fabricate a replacement?
